"I'm going to tear you limb from limb with my beak"

- Falra

Falra the Snow Phoenix is a phoenix Good Beast serving as a guardian Beast of an unknown kingdom. She has a massive wingspan, can produce lava from her talons at will, and is wreathed in flame. Falra's feathers are a bright white in colour, which was the primary reason for her nickname despite having no direct connection to snow. The Snow Phoenix participated in battle against Anoret and the Pirates of Makai alongside the other young Beasts training in Rion and would later be corrupted by Kensa. According to the A-Z of Beasts and her card, Falra is only 6 years old. However in Special Bumper 12, her first appearance, she is said to be two years old. Despite her young age, Falra is almost as large as Epos and is stated by Tom to be slightly larger, however the latter is likely an error from estimating the size in battle.

Training in Rion[]

Falra was born in an unknown kingdom. As a young Good Beast, she required taming and training before she could be allowed to defend a kingdom. She was sent to Rion to train alongside other young Good Beasts under Wilfred the Beast Keeper. Falra progressed well under Wilfred, quickly becoming recognised as one of the most promising of the Good Beasts in training. Due to Avantia and Rion having ample protection from Beasts already, it was decided Falra and the other Good Beasts in training would be sent to unknown kingdoms that lack sufficient guardian Beasts.

Anoret the First Beast[]

While Tom, Vedra and Krimon were able to repel a corrupted Anoret and the Pirates of Makai when they first attacked Rion, the Master of the Beasts feared a second stronger attack and that they would fail to drive back as effectively. To prevent this, Tom elected to gather more Beasts for the second battle. He approached Wilfred and requested he and the young Good Beasts aid them, which he accepted. As such, Falra was requested to participate in the battle.

In order to prepare for the battle, Falra and the other young Beasts performed training exercises. The Snow Phoenix was partnered with Elenna and supervised by Vedra and Krimon. Falra practised hovering and sharp wheeling turns before Vedra and Krimon tried to have her fly fast enough to keep up with them. Falra struggled to keep up with the Twin Beasts of Avantia, flapping her wings madly in an attempt to fly fast enough. Despite her struggles, she impressed Tom. At Elenna's request, she returned to the ground so her rider could speak with Tom.

As Vislak and Tikron detected the approach of the Pirates of Makai and Anoret, Falra joined the other young Beasts preparing for battle. She shrieked out a battle cry and followed Tom's order to join Tikron on one flank of the valley, accompanied by Elenna on her back. After Vislak was taken out of battle and Vedra and Krimon were sent to aid him, the Snow Phoenix attacked with Raffkor and Tikron. Elenna guided Falra's attacks, flying behind Anoret and raking her talons across the First Beast's flesh. As the Varkule horde began to push the Good Beasts back, Falra attempted to attack Anoret's face, however the First Beast grabbed the Snow Phoenix in her jaws and tossed her aside, creating teeth incisions in her neck and tearing a clump of feathers away, but only creating minor wounds. She was quickly helped by Wilfred, who ensured the downed Beast was alright. Tom was pushed off of the Pirates of Makai's ship by Sanpao, accidentally allowing Tom to escape with the Mask of Death and freeing Anoret from their control. Falra caught him as he fell, saving his life, and returned him to the ground. Victorious, Falra celebrated with the other young Beasts, contentedly ruffling her feathers.

The Cursed Dragon[]

Deeply impressed by the Good Beasts in training after witnessing their skill against Anoret, Kensa chose to find them and bring them under her control. Armed with a Lunar Blood-laced whip, she travelled to Rion and in the night, inflicted the Good Beasts with wounds that spread Lunar Blood through their systems. Falra's wound was inflicted on the front of her right wing, with the sign of her corruption being a patch of feathers that blackened there. When Vedra and Wilfred escaped to Avantia, Kensa sent four of the corrupted Beasts to guard the ingredients of the Gilded Elixir, one of the very few antidotes to Lunar Blood, to prevent Vedra from being purified. Falra was dispatched to the Pit of Fire in southern Rion to guard the Burnstone.

Falra circled the Pit of Fire in the air as she guarded the Burnstone. In order to protect the ingredient, the Beast attacked nearby settlements to drive the population away, even burning the town of Tamas to the ground. Nikolus, an elderly retired knight who had kept his past secret from his family, and Shay, his grandson, walked the Stonewin Trail from Stonewin volcano to the Pit of Fire as the water of the pit was the only thing that helped his old bones. Nikolus often saw Falra in the distance however when he raised the issue of the Beast with Shay, the Snow Phoenix vanished from the sky before he could see her. Shay finally saw Falra as she dived into the lava of the Pit of Fire, emerging soon after and diving towards the pair. Shay and Nikolus fled into the Cave of Echoes, a deep cave system, that the Beast couldn't enter, however she created a huge amount of smoke, which began to suffocate the pair, rendering Nikolus unconscious. She departed before Tom and Elenna arrived and saved them. Nikolus would give Tom and Elenna Burnstone, which he wore around his neck.

As Tom and Elenna approached, Falra descended into the lava of the pit. Tom approached in shadow form thanks to his white jewel, being sensed by Falra. The Snow Phoenix burst from the lava and headed straight for Tom's prone body. While Tom couldn't move, Elenna placed him on Storm and fled from the corrupted Beast, who pursued them, matching their turns perfectly. As Falra approached, Elenna pushed Tom off of Storm under his request so his shadow could reunite with his body, with Falra shooting past due to her momentum. As Tom's shadow rushed to his body, the Beast got to Tom barely before, grabbing him in her talons and carrying him up, planning on dropping him in the fire. As she positioned herself over the lava, Falra noticed that the Burnstone had become active and lamented the fact Tom had found it but assured her foe he would never be able to use it against her before asking if he was ready to die. Tom, planning on uniting with his shadow as he fell, ordered Falra to drop him and told her he was fed up of her squawking, which the phoenix accepted and with a final goodbye, dropped him. The Beast didn't notice Tom and his shadow touching and assumed he was dead, shrieking in victory. Tom called out to Falra and revealed he was still alive, shocking the Beast, who believed his survival was impossible. Tom taunted the corrupted phoenix into attacking again, prompting her to dive down while yelling that she would rip Tom apart with her beak. The Snow Phoenix hovered over Tom, who told the Beast Kensa would be disappointed in her, luring her into grabbing him again and carrying him upwards. Falra told the warrior she would kill him before his friends then kill them. She mocked Tom as he began to pass out from the lack of oxygen due to the talon's tight grip, telling him that while Kensa had assured her he was stupid, neither the witch or Beast had expected him to give up so easily, not noticing the Master of the Beasts clutching the Burnstone. As Falra watched Elenna draw her bow, she questioned what she was trying to do with such a weak weapon and cut off in a scream of agony when she saw Tom swing the Burnstone into her feathers, causing an explosion that destroyed the corrupted feathers and free her while making her drop Tom. She caught the warrior, assuring him he was safe, and placed him on the ground next to Tom, Storm and Silver. She took to the sky once more and faded away as she was warped to another kingdom to protect it, her training being deemed complete.
